The Sizaire Frères 4 RI that I mentioned a couple of days ago was dropped off this afternoon. It's quite an imposing car and without wings or screen (or lights for that matter) it looks quite sporty. Around 900 of these cars were built between 1923 and 1927, with a 2 litre SOHC 4 cylinder engine giving around 50hp, all independent suspension and rack and pinion steering it is quite an advanced vehicle for the period (and a good long time after it too). The owners want me to give a good going over, rewire it, fit head, tail and brake lamps and sort a wheel out that broke and, since being repaired, wobbles. There will probably be some other jobs crop up as I go along, having enjoyed the recent work on the Sizaire-Berwick I am quite looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.
