This Shadow II was dropped off on Sunday for some work. The owner bought it, let's say, cheaply, knowing it would need a bit of sorting out. It's hard to start and down on power so I've started out with the carburettors, found some of the vacuum hoses were not connected and the right hand HIF7 carburettor had a stuck piston. I've removed the carburettor and intake assembly complete, stripped it down and given it a total clean. I've got new gaskets for the SUs on their way as well as new jets as the right hand one had come apart. I've also been asked to fit new spark plugs so will do a compression test while the plugs are out. Once it's running I'll move on to the braking system.
