Opel Manta SR in the workshop

This Manta has been in a couple of times before and each time it's different. The first time it was a standard coupe that had been resprayed from its original beige, I fixed a couple of small electrical faults and away it went. The next time it showed up it looked a lot like it does today, the owner having bought and fitted all of the period parts to build replica of the rally cars fielded by Opel in the late 70s, I fixed a few more serious issues this time as it had been used on the road and found to need attention to the brakes, the induction and again the electrics. This time it's changed again, the owner has fitted a 2 litre twin cam red top engine on Webers and dual master cylinder with no servo. The main problem is the poor starting but I was a bit more concerned about the rattling top end when it did eventually fire so I'll take a peek under the cam cover before I do anything else. The brakes need a bit of plumbing and they'll be some electrical work as the loom's been changed. One step at a time with this one I think.
