The owner of the 1972 MGB asked me to solve the leaking rear axle so I started looking for a spare just before the end of the year. It seems we were fortunate, I stumbled on a complete, new old stock, axle on a popular auction site so snapped it up. The vendor dropped it off today and I couldn't be more pleased, he's even replaced the seals, sorted the brakes and filled it with oil, all I have to do is fit it to the car. That'll be a job for next week.
