The MG VA that I started working on last week is nearly done and will be ready to put up for sale over the weekend. It really is a rather charming car, ideal for touring the byways. I found the rear brake cylinders seized but only through lack of use, a little bit of honing and some new seals and they were good to go. I sent the worn out rear brake shoes to John Cooper at Norfolk Brake & Clutch last Wednesday and they came back today ready to go on the car (thanks John, again). I fixed an issue with the wiring to the indicator & hazard warning switches and have replaced the coolant hoses, hose clamps, coolant, oil & filter. I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares with the bored out VA tourer I used to look after.
