Some progress on the E-type Jaguar over the holidays and at the end of last week it was running. Once I'd got enough power in the battery to kick off the electronic ignition it fired up nicely on all 6 and idled well too, pretty good considering it's had no carburettor or ignition timing adjustment, that comes next. One slight disappointment, it was recommended that I have the original water pump rebuilt, apparently the quality is better than modern aftermarket, and it leaks from the shaft.
