​I have been commissioned to sell this rather nice VW type 2 'Fleetline' panel van on behalf of a customer. It is an original van, assembled in South Africa from parts supplied from Brazil, that has been lightly converted into a camper with the addition of a folding rear seat/bed and simple kitchen/storage unit. What's great about the conversion is that all of the panels have been left alone so it could easily be returned to being a working van. It's had a lot of money spent on it over the last few years but the owner's plans have changed, providing the opportunity for someone to own a vehicle where everything that needed to be done has been and it is now ready for anything.

The bodywork is in immaculate condition both on top and underneath, the paintwork being in excellent order with a deep shine. A lot of the chrome trim, seals, and stainless parts are new, including the mirrors, wipers & arms, headlamps, and door handles/locks. It needs for nothing.

The interior is also in immaculate condition, the cab area being very clean & neat and with new seat belts and the useful addition of a tachometer. The recently completed camper conversion provides a useful sink & single burner in a unit that also contains a small gas bottle, water bottle, fridge, and power socket & USB rail as well as cupboard space. The rear has been fully insulated and coated with DynaMat where possible so that it feels tight on the road and warm on the campsite. The folding seat/bed and rear cushion are all new, like the rest of the conversion. There is a mains socket in the rear, when plugged in the system automatically switches everything over from the additional battery, and simple LED lamps have been placed usefully around the camper.

The 1600 engine is a lightly breathed on example from Cool Air VW Specialists that is barely even run in. In addition it's had a new distributor, clutch, starter motor, and exhaust system and the carburettor has been overhauled. The original reduction gear hubs are fitted and have been recently rebuilt.​
